Christopher Missick is one of the family owners, and general manager, of Bellangelo, a premium Finger Lakes winery located on the west side of Seneca Lake. Prior to owning and operating Bellangelo, Chris served in the Newport Beach, CA based law firm of Frankel & Tennant Professional Corporation, where his practice focused on real estate and bankruptcy litigation matters.
Moving to the Finger Lakes in early 2012, Chris has helped establish Bellangelo as one of the region's fastest rising stars, with features in Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, and expansion through the U.S. and into Europe. As a passionate advocate for the local wine industry, he has broadened his scope of service to include individuals and businesses anxious to help the industry grow dynamically with their own business endeavors. His firm handles matters specifically dealing with alcohol beverage law, issues arising from the general practice of wine law, and real estate matters. He has authored and contributed to books in the areas of law, wine, and military history. Read the groundbreaking law review article he published on child custody issues resulting from the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, entered into the Congressional record, here. Most recently, Chris was admitted to practice to the Supreme Court of the United States, and had the opportunity to meet Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in Washington, D.C. with other members of the New York State Bar Association.
He enjoys writing, studying history, photography, and exploring wine and the places it is made. He lives in Geneva, New York with his wife Laure.
